Paint –your-own Birdhouse, Easter Basket and Easter Eggs
Come out anytime during our store hours to paint your own design on a gourd birdhouse, basket and eggs. Cost ranges from $1.00-$12.00 and includes the gourds, paints and other supplies. All you need is your creativity! This fun activity is perfect for all ages, and will be available on a first come, first served basis. (No reservations needed.)
Create-your-own Bunny
Create your own personally designed gourd bunny anytime during our store hours. There will be four sizes of gourds to choose from. We will provide supplies such as ribbons, paints, and a crafter to cut or wood burn your design. The fee is $7.00-$31.00 depending on the size of gourd you choose. Guests will be seated on a first come, first served basis. (No reservations are needed.)

A little something interesting for your Monday morning!
These gourds spent the winter in a bin outside. We got anxious to sort and size them only to find they were all frozen together when we poured the bin out! Sights you will see only at Meadowbrooke Gourds. 
Our very popular Gourd Egg Hunt is back for 2013 and will be held as part of our Spring Fest Activities on March 16th, 2013.
Time slots are as follow:
11am-Noon • 1pm-2pm • 3pm-4pm
There will be 1-$100 and 2-$50 cash prize eggs in each hunt along with prize eggs for gourds and gourmet chocolate from Sweet Jubilee. This fun event is for all ages. New this year: Admission is one non-perishable food item per person. Sorry, no out-of-date or damaged food items will be accepted. All food will be donated to the Big Spring Area Food Bank. Each hunt is limited to 350 people and fills up quickly so pre-registration is required.
Registration will begin on March 1st. Please call 717-776-6029 or email bethm@mbgourds.com with egg hunt time and number in your party.

We are very excited about February’s product of the month – Gloria bunnies!
The bunnies pictured below are as a result of our designer’s effort to create this new product. Ben does the cutting and putting together, Ashley critiques them and adds color, then Denise adds the bows and finishing touches.
It all starts with the idea to create a new bunny. Our goal is always to reinvent ourselves and innovate what we currently produce. As we start to make them, each one takes on a personality of their own. Some creations turn out worse than we expect and some better. The bad ideas head for the trash and the very best ideas go into production. We are then left with one of a kind gourds looking for a home. The next hop for these bunnies will be to our retail store as the February product of the month!

We are so thrilled to have been participants in the 2012 Claus Cause.
This effort, created and organized by 717 Studios in Carlisle, unites local businesses to raise a donation together for Project Share through sales and events. Meadowbrooke Gourds participated through our online and in-store Silent Auction and was able to donate $591.91 to Project Share. Thank you to our great customers for helping us help those in need!
The Claus Cause raised a total of $5,111.81, which it presented to Project SHARE on Thursday, Dec. 20.
